Poople Maps

Privacy Policy

Poople Maps is a community-powered restroom map. This page explains what information may be collected when people submit, review, report, or use CR listings.

Information users may provide

When a user submits a CR, Poople Maps may collect the establishment name, location details, ratings, notes, photos, gender/access tags, operating hours, and the contributor account connected to the submission.

Photos should focus on the restroom or facility only. Users should avoid uploading photos that show faces, private documents, plates, payment details, or anything unrelated to the CR.

Account information

Accounts may include an email address, username, display name, role, badges, and contribution history. Public pages may show usernames, badges, reviews, and contribution-related public information.

Admins may use account information to review submissions, prevent spam, investigate reports, assign roles, and keep the map useful.

Location information

Poople Maps uses restroom locations to show CRs on the map and help users find nearby options. If users allow browser location access, the app may use the current approximate device location to calculate distance and Emergency Mode results.

Poople Maps does not need users to submit their home address or private location.

How information is used

Information may be used to:

  • Review and verify submitted CRs
  • Show restroom details, photos, scores, and reviews
  • Power Emergency Poop Mode and nearby search
  • Detect duplicates, spam, or suspicious submissions
  • Support reports, corrections, and moderation
  • Track badges, contributors, and community activity

Public content

Approved CR listings, photos, ratings, operating hours, tags, reviews, public usernames, and badges may be visible to other users. Users should only submit content they are comfortable sharing publicly.

Contact and takedown requests

If a user, establishment, or facility owner believes a listing or photo should be corrected, hidden, or reviewed, they can use the Report Issue feature on the CR page.

For urgent privacy-related concerns, contact the Poople Maps admin team through the official Poople Maps social pages or support channel.
